Which limits are actually applied
Two numbers are enforced rather than merely displayed:
- Locations — adding one past the limit is refused.
- Messaging— marketing campaigns are refused once the allowance is spent, while messages about a customer's own visit keep sending.
The allowance resets on the 1st
Usage is counted per calendar month rather than from your billing anniversary. See plans and billing.
Choosing between them
- Start on Free. One branch, a real waitlist, enough messages to find out whether your customers use it.
- Move up when you run out of messages, not when you run out of features. That is the limit almost everybody meets first, and your usage report tells you when.
- Count your branches. The location limit is the other hard stop, and it is worth checking before you open a second shop rather than on the morning you do.
